"Rubber Duckie Day"

Hello everyone!

Today January 13th it's "Rubber Duckie Day"! 

Everyone has owned at least one rubber duck at some moment of their lives. Today it's the day to celebrate this childhood friend. Here are some ideas on how to do so:

Casual: Buy a rubber ducky to remember your childhood memories!

Committed: Gift your friends and family rubber duckies with a "Have fun!" note attached to them.

Hard-Core: Have a party with your friends. Everyone must be wearing yellow and at the end of the party, you will give a rubber duck as a gift.

Meatballs Monday Madness Presents Today's Recipe 
Meat and Potatoes Recipe

INGREDIENTS

• 1 cup walnut halves
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 2 tbsp chopped tarragon 
• 2 tbsp chopped parsley 
• 1 1/2 tbsp red wine vinegar
• 1/2 cup extra virgin oil 
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper
• 6 filet mignons (6 ounces each)
• olive oil, for brushing
• 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan 

METHOD 

1. To make the walnut pesto, toast the walnuts in a 350°F (170°C) oven for 10 minutes. Let cool. Transfer to a food processor and add the Parmesan, garlic, tarragon, parsley, and vinegar. With the machine running, add the oil to make a coarse paste. Season with salt and pepper

2. Heat a ridged frying pan over high heat. Lightly brush the steaks with oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook the steaks in the pan for about 3 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Transfer to dinner plates and serve hot, with a dollop of the walnut pesto.

Today's Color Challenge is "Color Yourself Creative"by wearing something in Sunset (Light orange). The color "Sunset" is very flattering and it makes you feel alive and creative. Today wear something in this color and when someone compliments your outfit, answer: "Thank you, I feel very creative in this sunset dress".
