"Bittersweet Chocolate Day"

Hello people! 

Today January 10th it's "Bittersweet Chocolate Day"!

Everybody loves chocolate, so that means that everybody might enjoy this festivity. Get some ideas here on how to celebrate this delicious day!

Casual: Have a delicious bittersweet chocolate bar for breakfast. 

Committed: Prepare your friends a bittersweet chocolate cake. 

Hard-Core: Make a party were all your treats are bittersweet chocolate related, for example: bittersweet chocolate bars, bittersweet chocolate milkshakes, etc. 

Fried Chicken Friday Fun Presents Today's Recipe

Chicken and Apricots

Serves 8

INGREDIENTS

• 2 cups chopped apricots OR 1 (15-oz.) can apricots, drained

• 1/3 cup chopped dried apricots

• 1/4 cup minced onion

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 1/4 cup orange juice

• 2 Tbsp. honey

• 1 Tbsp. brown sugar

• 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger root

• 1/2 tsp. salt

• 2 tsp. honey mustard

• 2 lb. chicken breasts, bone in, skin on

• salt and pepper to taste

METHOD

Preparation:

1. Combine fresh apricots with dried apricots, onion, garlic, orange juice, honey, brown sugar, ginger, salt, and mustard in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove fruit mixture from heat and let cool for 1 hour.

2. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Season chicken with salt and pepper and place in a single layer, skin side down, in a glass baking dish. Spread apricot mixture on top. Bake for 15 minutes, then turn chicken and baste with the fruit mixture in the pan. Increase temperature to 425 degrees and bake 15 minutes longer, or until chicken is thoroughly cooked to 160 degrees F.

COLOR CHALLENGE

Today's Color Challenge is "Color Yourself Royal" by wearing something in Birthday Cake (Light pink). Light pink is a very classy color if worn properly. It is often related to royalty because it makes you look fancy and classy. Today, decide to wear a Birthday Cake attire and feel royal! When someone compliments you on your outfit, answer them: "Thank you, I feel like a true queen".
