Red Banana: A Story About an Iconic Fruit
The red banana is a fruit with a variety of banana with reddish-purple skin. This banana is smaller and plumper than the common Cavendish banana. When ripe, raw red bananas have a flesh that is cream to light pink in color. They are also softer and sweeter than the yellow Cavendish varieties, with a slight raspberry flavor. Many red bananas are imported from producers in Asia and South America. The red banana is favorite in Central America but it is sold throughout the world.
It has become a daily basis treat, due to its high content of vitamins and minerals. Doctors recommend this fruit to children who are in development, because it helps the bone growth.
Chefs all around the world love this fruit because of its sweet taste and easy preparation. It is commonly used in desserts such as cakes, cookies, pies, ice-cream and more! The red banana will always be popular because it provides so many benefits and it’s also delicious.
