"Backward Day"

Hello everyone!

Today, January 31st it's "Backward Day".

Here are some ideas on how to celebrate this fun festivity:

Casual: Walk backwards for 10 minutes.

Committed: Invite your friends to a backwards race, where everyone should be walking backwards. The winner gets a prize chosen by the group.

Hard-Core: Have a party where the music, the movies and the dance moves should all be backwards.




Fried Chicken Friday Fun Presents Today's Recipe 
Roasted Garlic Teriyaki Fried Rice with Chicken 
Servings: 6 

INGREDIENTS

- 1/2 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 
- 3 green onions and tops 
- 1 carrot
- 1 egg, beaten
- 4 cups cold cooked rice
- 3 tablespoons Kikkoman Roasted Garlic Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce 

METHOD

  1. Cut chicken into thin strips.
  2. Heat oil in hot wok or large skillet over high heat. Add chicken, green onions and carrot. Stir-fry 3 minutes, or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  3. Add egg; cook, stirring gently, until firm. Stir in rice and cook until heated through.
  4. Add roasted garlic teriyaki sauce; remove pan from heat. Stir mixture until well mixed. Serve immediately.


COLOR CHALLENGE

Today's Color Challenge is "Color Yourself Energized" by wearing something in Moon Beam (Light yellow). Yellow has always been considered an energetic color. It gives you a beautiful glow and it makes you feel bright and awake. Wear something in this tone to join today's Color Challenge. You can wear a complete outfit if you're feeling brave, or just an accessory. Hello everyone!

Today January 30th it's "Croissant Day"!

Here are some ideas on how to celebrate this tasty festivity:

Casual: Have a croissant for breakfast.

Committed: Bake different types of croissants such as: Nutella croissant, cheese croissant, or ham croissant.

Hard-Core: Throw a party where all your friends will eat croissants, and they should bake them themselves. Play some french music and have fun with your friends.

An Oriental Story: A Short Story About Pak Choi

   Pak Choi is a plant that was originated in the Orient. Because of its quick maturing properties, pak choi became very popular in the 19th century among the Chinese and the Japanese. In Europe, pak choi was not very popular, it was introduced there in the mid 18th century, and people didn't like it as much as the Chinese and Japanese. Pak choi comes from tiny seeds, this allowed the spread of it around the world. The seeds where easily carried from place to place, and because of this PAK choi spread to every nation. Before anyone knew it, PAK choi was available in Russia and America. 

   Pak choi looks like a lettuce, but it's not in the same group as lettuce. Pak choi belongs to the group where the broccoli, the cabbage and the turnips are. This vegetable is completely edible, containing many vitamins. Because of this, many people love pak choi. Many chefs around the world use Pak choi in recipes such as: Ginger sweet tofu with Pak choi, steamed bass with Pak choi, noodles, and more. Its unique and delicious flavor give dishes the right amount of vitamins. If you haven't tried Pak choi, you should give it a try!

Today's Color Challenge is "Color Yourself Chaotic" by wearing something in Winter Lights (red). If you want to feel strong and bold, you should definitely try out today's challenge. You can wear a complete outfit in this color, or just an accessory if you're not brave enough. When someone compliments your color choice, just answer: "Thank you, who doesn't love a Winter Lights outfit?".

"Ruzzle Day"

Hello everyone!

Today January 29th it's "Ruzzle Day"!

Here are some ideas on how to celebrate this quirky festivity:

Casual: Play Ruzzle in your free time.

Committed: Gather with your friends and challenge them by playing Ruzzle together, get some prices and give them out to the winner.

Hard-Core: Throw a party where you can play Ruzzle with your friends and when someone looses make up punishments, for example: If they loose, they should dance in front of everybody, or bite an onion.




Waffles Wednesday Way Presents Today's Recipe
Egg and Cheese Waffle Sandwich
1 serving


INGREDIENTS

- 2 frozen round waffles (4-inch)

- 1 egg, beaten

- 1 slice co-Jack or American cheese.


METHOD

Step 1: Heat oven to 400' F. Generously coat the baking sheet with cooking spray. Place waffles on baking sheet.

Step 2: Spoon egg over waffles; spreading to fill cavities.

Step 3: Top one waffle with cheese. Cover with remaining waffle and press together. Let stand 1 minute to allow cheese to melt.



COLOR CHALLENGE 

Today's Color Challenge is "Color Yourself Blue" by wearing something in Deep Ocean (Teal). This color looks great on everybody and it gives a sweet and innocent look. Join this challenge by wearing a teal coat or some teal tights. When someone compliments your style, answer: "Thank you, this Deep Ocean color really makes me feel blue".
