"Nothing Day"

Hello everyone!

Today January 16th it's "Nothing Day". 

Even though this festivity may sound boring, there are really fun ways in which you can enjoy it! Here are some of them:

Casual: Choose a way in which you can do nothing, for example: I will not have soda today, I will not consume candy, etc.

Committed: Challenge your friends and see who can last longer without doing something, examples: No speaking, no laughing, no smiling.

Hard-Core: Have a fun family night where you will play games and challenges related to the ones mentioned before, and have prices for the winners!

A Passionate Story: A Short Story About Passion Fruit 

Passionfruit was first discovered by the Spanish missionaries when they came to the Americas. The Spanish gave this juicy fruit its name because they thought their flowers portrayed "Christ's passion on the cross". Many people think this fruit makes you feel passionate when you eat it, because of its name. But actually, the "passion" in this fruit doesn't mean pleasure, it means suffering. 

The passionfruit is usually the size of an egg and, although it may vary in color, it's usually purple. Its insides have a yellow tint to them and it's full of edible black seeds. The passionfruit is available all year, but its peak is at the winter months. It is mainly harvested around the North Coast of America, and they grow on vines. Their leaves are yellow and shiny, and they do produce a certain amount of flowers. When ripe, the passionfruit must be stored in a fruit bowl for up to 10 days, or it may also be refrigerated if desired. 

Because of its sweet flavor, many people use passionfruit in desserts. It's commonly used as an ice-cream topper, in cakes, tarts, and in pavlova. But not only is it used in desserts, it's also used in salads, juices, jam, meat, fish and more! It is a very healthy way to tame your sweet-tooth, due to its vitamin A and C abundance.
